What We Sell

Scuba diving is an equipment intensive sport. Much of your training will involve learning how to use properly fitted snorkeling and scuba equipment safely. As you gain more experience and higher skills, you will become increasingly familiar with nuances of equipment performance. As you progress you will reach a point at which you will want to purchase your own equipment.

As we make purchasing decisions, we primarily consider those products that offer our customers the best value. That does not mean we buy products that retail at the lowest price. Nor does it mean that we buy products with the best margin for Denver Divers. It does mean Denver Divers:

• First strives to find the best “fit” for our customers. We encourage you to “try before you buy” by using the gear in our on-site salt-water pool.
• Looks to manufacturers that employ sound quality standards and guarantee their products. For example, TUSA (Tabata USA) manufacturing plants adhere to ISO 9000 quality standards that are regularly verified by an independent third party (ISO 9001). TUSA also offers a three-year warranty on all masks, fins, and snorkels.
• Considers ScubaLab results on a product basis. For example, the GEO 2.0 wrist dive computer manufactured by Oceanic was rated a “Best Buy” for 2010.
• Offers price segments that vary by functionality rather than by quality.
• Asks instructors and customers that dive frequently to test those products in which we are interested. For example, we asked several customers and instructors to test-dive the Poseidon Extreme regulator. We then used the feedback to discern whether problems experienced were a result of technical settings or inherent functionality.
• Staff members dive the products we sell.

You may want to rent our high-end demonstration gear for a trip to” test drive” your tentative choices of style and brand. Or you may want to “demo” equipment in the Denver Divers’ pool. Either way, once you make a selection, we absolutely guarantee the fit on all equipment that we sell. Our staff will spend the time necessary to fit your equipment and train you how to use the equipment properly.
